Bryce Canyon National Park, Day One

After a long and serpentine drive, I arrived in Bryce Canyon National Park at about 6 pm and immediately checked into the Lodge at Bryce Canyon, which is located inside the park close to the main attractions - Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, and Inspiration Point.

After getting settled and taking a short walk on the rim trail, I ordered dinner from the dining room - buffalo sirloin, roasted red bliss potatoes, and asparagus, plus a queen's walnut beet salad. It was by far my best meal of the road trip, even though it was "take out" only. Fortunately, I was able to eat the meal in the Lodge's dining room. It was just such a shame that this great meal had to be eaten out of take out containers.

Tomorrow, I expect to do a few hikes, drive the scenic drive, and then be on the road to Zion National Park (a two hour drive) where I have two nights in the Zion National Park Lodge.
